Very friendly and helpful staff with check in and cart rental. Course was generally in very good condition especially greens. A few patches of fairways still recovering from previous weather damage but not a problem. Although the course is quite short, you need accuracy or the water will get you; it'sin play on all 18 holes!. We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and will definitely be back.

Staff are super friendly - we had great interactions with Genevieve, Jaxen, and Spencer in the pro shop, Jeff while on the course, Dwight in the bar, and Karl and Phil at cart return. The course is beautiful. I don't actually golf, just ride along with my husband and daughter, so I appreciated the wildlife, beautiful scenery, and to go cocktails from the bar. The course appeared to be challenging based on the number of lost balls and amount of water on each hole!

I just recently got married at the Dunes and the venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the catering/bartenders were awesome. I loved how well maintained the grass was, as well as the beautiful landscaping. My now husband, wedding party, and family had a wonderful experience golfing in the days leading up. I was less than impressed with the wedding planning side of the Dunes. People were nice, but not very outgoing, did not have hardly any straight forward answers to my questions, and had a hard time communicating in general. My family, husband, and wedding party became very frustrated they were having to "run the show" when their job was to be in the physical wedding and enjoy the night. Not make choices and announcements for the entire wedding. Thank goodness for DJ Robert from New Beginnings for stepping in to help guide us through how the Dunes should run a wedding. As this is mine (and most) people first time coming up with wedding plans, and being from out of state, it made things hard to plan ahead. Packing, decor ordering/shipping, any flowers, or other details. Minimal responses were given. I eventually gave up and figured "oh well". Thank god the golf course itself being well maintained. Additionally! I was beyond upset about the ceremony. I the Bride was placed directly in the sun. Between the sun and the reflection off the water, I could not see anything. Could hardly look at my husband with 2 eyeballs and I was upset. My eyes are shut, squinted, or 1/2 open in all my ceremony photos 😔. Not how I wanted to remember the beautiful moment. The background was amazing, but I would have chosen a diffeeent time than the 5:30 time recommended to me from this yet again, horribly unhelpful "wedding planner". I think I'd plan a better wedding on my own and I hadn't even visited the venue yet.

There is water on every shot except the greens. Favors accurate players over big hitters. Walking friendly with compact layout, but carts are required before 2 p.m. (check website, hours may vary by season).

Very friendly staff and super courteous to my wife and 2 younger children. The kids were just along for the ride, which they allow for a small fee. To them, it was a nature experience! We saw more wildlife than most wildlife excursions. I think we counted 5 gators! Saved us a trip to the everglades! The golf course was in great shape. Pace of play was perfect. Especially for the busy season. The bartender gal even gave us some local pro tips on other area adventures to look into! Will be returning with my family again! Update 3/2025: we gave it a shot again after the hurricanes and wow, has this place recovered well! Actually looks better than pre-hurricane! Still a little patchy repairs underway on the greens, but the place looks amazing. Great work on the recovery!

I used my pga golf pass, but would not pay the normal rate ever for this course - I had the pleasure of playing this course for the first time today, and overall, it was a great experience. The starter was fantastic—really accommodating and friendly. Even though our tee time was set for 7:30, he allowed us to start right away, which was a nice touch. It meant we didn’t have to worry about being paired with other groups, which was perfect since my friend and I play at a fast pace. Shout out to the skinny guy with glasses—wish I caught his name! Chris, the golf pro, was also wonderful. He was not only helpful but made for some great conversation. Regarding the course itself, it's clear they're working hard on improvements. While the fairways were in good shape, a few of the greens were a bit rough. Some were still in the healing process, and others had a few rough patches. However, I appreciate the effort the team is putting into getting them back to top form. This is a cool little course that really lets you connect with nature. The greens are quite challenging—if your shot has any backspin, be prepared for it to roll right off! And be ready for a lot of water hazards. When I say a lot, I mean *a lot*. Overall, I loved the pace of play and the welcoming staff. It’s a course with a unique charm, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it improves in the future.

Not a long course even from the back tees, however you need to hit it straight and be accurate as there is water on all 18 holes and comes into play more often than not. Bring extra balls!!! Greens are somewhat small, but again accuracy is key. You will enjoy your round, great wildlife and scenery on every hole. Staff is awesome and helpful. Worth your time either vacationing in Sanibel or on Ft. Myers beach or a local to Southwest Florida. You won’t be disappointed!!
